Calvin Johnson, Jr. was born September 29th, 1985 in Newnan, Georgia to father Calvin Senior and mother Arika Johnson. Nicknamed and known by most as Megatron, Calvin Johnson is slowly and steadily writing his name in the NFL record books as one of the most accomplished wide receivers to ever play the game.

He wears the number eighty-one. His helmet visor is shaded so you can’t see his eyes. His attitude is please try and stop me. In 2011, Johnson caught 96 passes for 1,681 yards and 16 touchdowns for the Detroit Lions, leading the league in yardage. His TD and reception totals from last year rank 2nd and 4th respectively among all other players in the National Football League.

Calvin Johnson is an imposing figure on the football field, standing 6 foot 5 inches and weighing in at 236 lbs. Perhaps even more impressive about his size is the speed and power at which he is capable of moving his large and muscular frame. Megatron runs roughly a 4.3 40-yard dash and is capable of over 30 inch vertical leap and his broad jump exceeds 10 feet.

Mr. Calvin Johnson, Jr. went to college at Georgia Tech, where he wore #21 for the Yellow Jackets until being selected 2nd overall in the 2007 NFL Draft by the Detroit Lions. He looks to help the Detroit Lions franchise led by fellow superstar quarterback Matthew Stafford to their first ever Super Bowl this year.
